Our final distribution for Reading is Fundamental (RIF) was held on Monday, April 23rd, 2007 as a part of the Awards Ceremony. Every second grade student received a free book as result of the initiative.

RIF provides students in second grade with an opportunity to get excited about reading.

At present, many books are overdue. If books are damaged or lost, please pay for them as soon as possible. When paying for a book, please send the exact amount in cash in a sealed envelope with your child's name and the teacher's name on the outside. Checks are not accepted.

Please take a look at the new link, Tumblebooks, added to our Miami Lakes K-8 Center website. Students may read books from this site free of charge. You will have to check to see which books we have Accelerated Reader quizzes for by going to Destiny @ http://destiny.dadeschools.net.

New AR Quiz List Coming Soon!

A new Accelerated Reader Quiz List provided by AR/AR Enterprise will be uploaded to the Miami Lakes K-8 Center Website soon!
