
Students in grades 2-5 will participate in our honor roll program this school year. Honor roll ceremonies will be held quarterly and students on the same honor roll the entire year will be honored at the end-of-year ceremony. The honor roll criteria is as follows:
2nd through 5th Grade
Principal's Award of Excellence
A 1 A grade in all subject areas
Principal's Honor Roll
Academic Average 3.6 - 4.0
Effort Grades - All 1's
Conduct Average 3.6 - 4.0
No “C” grades allowed
Academic Honor Roll
Academic Average 3.0 - 3.5
Effort Grades - All 1's and 2's
Conduct Average 3.0 - 4.0
Citizenship Award
Effort Grades - All 1's and 2's
Conduct Average 3.6 - 4.0
No “C” grades allowed for conduct
No more than 5 tardies
Perfect Attendance Honor Roll
No absences during the entire marking period
Academic honor rolls will be rewarded at the highest academic level. Please refer to the Tardy Policy and its impact on the Citizenship Honor Roll. Students (K-5) will also be recognized for perfect attendance quarterly and at the end of the year. Students will also be recognized as Super Citizens for different categories.
Please discuss these awards with your child and monitor his/her grades closely. Encourage excellence in all areas by providing daily motivation. If your son/daughter qualifies for any of there awards, we will send you a special invitation to attend the ceremony.
Students with perfect attendance all year will be recognized at the final awards assembly.
Students earning the same honor roll (Academic, Citizenship) all four marking periods will receive a trophy at the final awards assembly. An academic trophy will be awarded at the highest level earned.
Class pictures will be taken at each ceremony and will be displayed on our Honor Roll Bulletin Board.
Awards will be provided by our PTA and our Dade Partners.
